Dr Shabnum Dar

Dr Shabnum was born and brought up in India. After graduating in 2009 she worked in a hospital in India before moving to Australia in 2017. She has worked in rural and metropolitan hospitals in Victoria for over 4 years and during this time she gained experience in Emergency Medicine, Surgery, General Medicine, Mental Health, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology. 

Dr Shabnum believes that the beauty of general practice is the unique opportunity to care for patients long term and respond effectively to patients needs.

Given she is also pursuing a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology she is passionate about women’s health, which includes contraception, antenatal & post-natal care, and MTOP. She is also passionate about children’s health.

In her spare time, she loves spending quality time with her kids, listening to music and attempts cooking a diverse range of cuisines.
